Much better.
Good things happen when San Jose decides to show up for most of it not all of the scheduled sixty minutes, and last night proved it. Real live hitting, no playing hot potato with the puck every single time there's more than one Shark in the other team's end of the ice, the occasional laser-guided pass (the one from Patrick Marleau to Steve Bernier leading to his goal was a thing of beauty), spectacular saves when needed... sweetness all around. If the Sharks remember they need to bring this all night every night it's game on, they will be the team they are capable of being. Namely, a genuine Cup contender.
And following up on something from the game preview, Jonathan Cheechoo is on the team this year.

is anyone reading
the Marcel Goc Blog? Some fascinating insights...
SOCOM is the game we play... I’m pretty good, but so are Christian and Patty. Right now Craig Rivet is not very good because he just started, but he is making improvements. Wes Howard, our assistant trainer, isn’t very good either because he just hides in the game.
I'll read his blog...
... when he starts reading this one! :-)
