The best part about hockey: The Fights

To me and maybe some of you the best part about hockey are the fights. This year the sharks have some "tough guys" including Jody Shelley, Brad Staubitz, Ryane Clowe, and occasionally Douglas Murray. The Sharks are looking tougher this year with 9 fights in 16 games. Last year they had 42 fights in 82 games. Lets hope they keep this pace and have at least 66 fights (that would be great for us fans, but maybe not so much for the fighters). To get to the point, I think at FTF we should have a fight analysis after every fight (add your opinion now). So here is the analysis of Brad Staubitz Vs. Garth Murray.

Star-divide

For those who didn't see, or want a second look here it is:

Okay this fight wrestling match looks like it was won by Murray. BUT since this is a hockey fight it was a draw. I think it is great that Staubitz is making a name for himself.

Now feel free to go ahead and do your own analysis. And for those of you who do not know of the fantastic website Hockeyfights.com I highly recommend it. For the Sharks 2008-2009 season fight card it is right here .

I like the idea of having a breakdown of each fight- the job is yours if you want it sir.

In regards to this tilt, I’d have to give a slight edge to Murray just because he controlled Staubitz’s body. Though I agree it was a hockey fight draw.

Looking forward to more fight recaps.
