Black Armor

Have the new uni's been leaked?

(not sure how those photo's will work, if they don't I suck, if they do I'm frickin' awesome)

If these are indeed the black alternate jerseys then I like the simplicity of them, too often you see pro teams try and get fancy and make jerseys that look like a 4-yr old designed them splashing colors all over the place. Not sure I'd call them "armor" or anything dumb like that, but what ev...

{UPDATE: See below in comments for your pictures punks. This stupid posting feature isn't being friendly to my attempts to actually post something cool. "Insert image" could be more accurately titled "Insert link to image where the image is linked by confusing the writer into thinking a link to a picture would make a picture in a post for better blogging"}

You weren’t linking to the actual image, but rather the page with the image on it. A very minor, but key, distinction.

I hate you

..but seriously thanks for posting those. I never knew any other way to do it….

So, if you go to the pages you linked, then right-click on the image and click View Image, it will bring you to the correct page. Copy that pages address. Then, you just use the icon of the tree when creating your post/comment, and it’ll ask you to paste in the address. Voila!

its a slightly different icon in the posting thing (not the tree icon, but a “frame” picture, it says insert image but the URL still doesnt work right.

I always got the tree thing to work on other blogs, not this time. I keep trying but it aint workin.

For the sake of posting some sort of picture from icethetics.com, I did think this jersey was kind of cool:

Glad a higher resolution picture came out. They look pretty cool.

I really hate the absence of the hemline stripe. It makes you look like you’re wearing pajamas:

But aside from that

they look good. I like the full-shark logo, I like the SJ logo, and I like the color scheme.

And I like the lack of orange.

The only question now..

Another Cheechoo jersey? Or should I mix it up and support the Gooch?

Stupid Fiance already called Vlassic. Bitch.

I believe that’s grounds for dismissal.

For myself, I’d get Clowe probably. Maybe Mitchell.

its the same as the old except with the new logo.

not a big deal unless your goth and/or love the color black.

Not the same really,

Lacing at the neck, new jersey type, lettering improved, different striping. I like it.

Like how to reply only once to a certain thread ;)

I’m going to have to go with serrapadre here- sure it looks sort of cool, but I always felt the third jersey was a a way for the league as a whole to sell more merchandise.

Not saying I’m not going to get one though :)

My opinion

is they are ok, nothing special but at the same time not stupid. and being “not stupid” is a win in my book, pretty much what I said in the post. That said I do like a team to have 3 jerseys because its fun to see them in different unis every once in awhile.

They're

Better looking that the Warriors’ 3rd jersey. Instant win.

how dare you speak of the lowly warriors on this winning website

by newbtoob on Dec 6, 2008 1:59 AM PST up reply actions   0 recs

They're not bad

I really don’t mind these ones at all.

Of course I’m the one scheming up ways to get one of the classic white jerseys with Friesen and 39 on there…

1st gen Sharks jerseys are easy to find on eBay, and they’re usually pretty cheap. Get one of those and get it customized.

It's the lettering that's hard to get done right.

I’m looking for a 2nd gen white Damphousse myself.
