[Open Thread] Game Two, Western Conference QF: Calgary Flames at San Jose Sharks
Let's try this again, shall we?
The Sharks, being well advised to win this game as losing the first two games of a best-of-seven series when you're the home team is generally considered detrimental to your hopes for winning said series, will hopefully do some things tonight that were noticeable mostly from the absence thereof in Game One. Like show up when the game starts as opposed to two minutes before it ends, have your star players play like star players (*coughbriancampbellcough*), not get pushed around in your house... stuff like that. Or, here's a wild hare for you -- play like the team you can be when you work at it?
I'll try to comment as best I can from the Tank; the wireless connection there and my iPod Touch have a lot of disagreements ending in standoffs of several minutes duration. Ah well.
Okay, let's drop the puck.

10:29 1st
Bacchus, the god of whine who sits behind me most every game, just confirmed it in case you were wondering: Jarome Iginla is really good. (He's also adept at pointing out the obvious in addition to his primary function of complaining about everything the Sharks do that's not to his liking... which is most everything. A man for all seasons.)
Sounds annoying
hope the sharks win to make it better. & Shut Bacchus up

2nd Intermission
Wow. That was Sharks hockey at close to its absolute best. 27-3 advantage in shots. Now let's seal the deal, gentlemen.
Sorry I'm late boys......
but I was at a bar drinking in case we lost again!!
I went to the Gym for 3 hours last night.....
I had a ton of steam to work out. I hit the free weights for like an hour, did cardio for an hour then played some hoop.
I was so tired I could not even think about Hockey. I just came home and passed out!
Time for 3rd period domination.....
I still say Ron Wilson should be fired if the Sharks lose this period!!
Time to douce the FlamERS!!
Oh come on now!!
I show up and you all are nowhere to be found!
thought joe was going to get another goal right \

Smells like......VICTORY!!!!
Totally Bro!!
If the Sharks lose this series the Ron Wilson should be fired, especially with the way the Sharks played in game one. They were not ready to play, and that falls on the coach!
Not.
Okay, so should Don Nelson be fired for letting the warriors crap the bed tonight? Obviously it's not only the coaches job to get fired up, the players need to get up for big games. Ron Wilson has and will continue to do a fine job, but the second the Sharks (A TEAM) do something you don't like, you immaturely beg for someone's head on a platter. If they lose another game this series, you're gonna have to deal with it. Firing Ron Wilson won't or ever will be the answer (at least this season.)

Agreed
People need to stop thinking the Sharks are going to play every game perfectly. It just doesn't work that way, especially now that we're only playing against the best teams in the conference.
Maybe I'm the only one, but I thought we outplayed Calgary for most of the first game too. We were outplayed in that game for about 15 minutes and we happened to lose. But, if you told me before a game that we would be the best team on the ice for 45 minutes, I'd take that every day.
