- When Dan Boyle gets all bug eyed on the bench in an attempt to fix his helmet.
- Rolling Staubitz and Shelley on the same line.
- Seeing Staubitz and Shelley log less than ten minutes of ice time combined.
- Gary Green in general, but specifically his interviews. Also, imagining I am Gary Green when riding a bicycle in pajamas.
- That I hoped (and expected) the backup goaltender would see roughly 25 starts this year.
- How both the former and current Captain were the only Sharks unaware of the stick salute to the fans after beating Columbus.
- Whiteouts at home, even though the away teams are wearing white jerseys.
- The fact that Jed Ortmeyer looks like Patrick Marleau sans those wonderful eyebrows.
- That the Sharks are going to go up two goals tonight and blow the lead, only to come roaring back and win the game in overtime. Never fails against Phoenix.
Prediction: Sharks win 4-3. Goals by Vlasic, Setoguchi, Thornton, and McGinn (who, bless his heart, manages to stay out of the box tonight).

Hopefully we’ll manage to open the scoring tonight. Much as I enjoy a storming comeback to win a game, the stress of falling behind to inferior teams can’t be good for any of us.

I saw him after he scored and thought “holy crap, nice goal Patty!” Then I looked again and thought “what the hell happened to his eyebrows?” Then they announced that Jed Ortmeyer scored, and I though “who the hell is Jed Ortmeyer? Is that Patty’s secret identity now?”

The only thing I can think of is that they have two days off coming up before the East Coast road trip, and believe they can squeeze one more start out of Nabby because of it.
I’d like to see Greiss get more starts as well- hopefully he gets two in the aforementioned road trip.

I don’t see them throwing Griess to the wolves in Washington. We’ll need all the help we can get to keep the puck out of the net agaisnt that offense. But I could see Griess nabbing a start against the Islanders on Saturday. And probably one more against the Thrashers the following Saturday, since we’ll have back to back games in there (Sat-Sun). 2 seems like a logical number for the trip.

Which sucks in a way, because of the road trip Lurker and I (and Dave) are taking – I’d rather chant “Nab-by!” than “Don’t frickin’ embarrass us, Greiss!”

My question- why is Staubitz eating up cap room if there is no intention to play him? If you send him through waivers now the hope is that he won’t be claimed.
Another question- why did they give him a spot on the roster at the beginning of the season if they planned on using the Worcester shuttle so much? Once again, he eats up cap room and restricts a move Wilson could make later this year to bring in a depth defenseman.

I think they’re comfortable with him being a last minute fill in if somebody goes down in practice and he’s dirt cheap so it’s easy to keep him on the roster.
He’s basically liability only insurance on your car. You’re still fucked if something goes wrong on your end, but at least you’ll ice a full team.

Asus 1005HA-P. Probably the best model techwise right now – got a slightly faster Atom processor, a more powerful webcam and a battery that lasts 10-11 hours.
It’s great for simple webbrowsing and doing my programming work at home. Not going to do any gaming or movie-viewing on this thing obviously, but it’s a perfect web+work machine.
