Well, looks like Dave Pollak did some espionage work (eavesdropping on a Torrey-Staubitz conversation), and managed to extract a quote from Torrey, who said he'd be back in two weeks.

That's when he'll be ready to come off the LTIR (October 24th, to be exact), so it's no big surprise that he'd say that. However, it looks like Mitchell is on the right track to return soon, which is solid news considering his past.

Fingers crossed, because you never know what to expect from Mitchell, but the addition would really shore up the third and fourth lines. If Pavelski's foot injury heals as expected, they could jump back into the lineup at about the same time.

I'm looking forward to seeing these guys play again.

Huh

I thought he meant Torrey Mitchell, because he’s like the 8th best forward on the team.

Actually

it does kind of make sense. Top six, then Manny Malhotra (or someone else) then Torrey.

I fully endorse the idea of Mitchell playing in the regular season. Especially as soon as two weeks. Only four games played in over a year just doesn’t cut it.
