For those keeping score at home, it’s the Blackhawks feed on Gamecenter. It makes the broadcast record 5-15-2 (home-away-Versus).

Is that the same for Center Ice? Pretty ridiculous. For some reason it seems like every game recently the Caps highlights on NHLN and NHL.com are from the other team’s feed. Even if we were home. I wonder how they make these decisions.

I think on Center Ice, you can choose the feed you watch occasionally. Gamecenter, no dice.

Oh, and the Sharks have not had one home game with their broadcast on Gamecenter. It’s kind of pathetic.

I don’t know how Gamecenter works. Normally CI has been giving both feeds this year but I saw something a while back about some Canadian bitching that the Canadian feeds are on CI less than American feeds.

I’ve got to say, the Blackhawks TV intro is pretty kick-ass. The use of the Pirates of the Caribbean theme is awesome.

Campbell, sir, I still hate you for being expensive and utterly useless in the post season. However, this is matched by my like for you leaving and allowing us to get Dan Boyle. Dan Boyle is a much better, cooler version of you.

Plus, thank you Campbell for convincing Doug Wilson to go after Dan Boyle even more, going so far as bringing in Rob Blake in. And for absolutely screwing over the Blackhawks’s future.

Two Hawks on him, gets it out of his feet, and gets a good pass off while on his ass. Impressive.

Its funny how the Sharks groomed Pave as compared to how they are grooming Couture. They threw Pavs right in the first line and are slow cooking Couture.

by Mr Tea on Nov 15, 2009 4:43 PM PST up reply actions

It’s also a difference in coaching – Ron Wilson vs. Todd McLellan. RW liked to put rookies on Thornton’s line, while McLellan puts them in the bottom 6 and lets them earn their way up to the top 6.

Also, Pavs had 26 points in 16 games in the AHL. While Couture has been good, he wasn’t that good.

I believe Pavs had an extra year of development though. (Drafted in ‘03, first played pro in ’06, he got 46 GP in the NHL his first pro year). Couture is only two years removed from his draft year. It is mainly, as mymclife says, a difference in coaching styles between Wilson and McLellan. I also think putting Coture on the wing would be a huge waste, he’s clearly a playmaker, the guy’s made Staubitz and Shelly look good at times.

So I’m assuming that there were 2 others at some point in time.

It's kinda tough to do

You need to also check that the puck is completely over the line. Easy when the puck is flat on the surface (is the chip the raidus of the puck away from the goal line at all points?) but how do you sense when its rolling on its side?

Yeah

It’s probably not at the point where goalies and D don’t take him seriously as a shot threat but he definitely needs to make them fear his shot more. Nick Backstrom is struggling with the same thing but he’s 21 so I hope he grows out of it.

Well, Joe did just score a goal last night, maybe he felt that it filled his quota on the road trip.

Defense is asleep at the wheel tonight

Too many chances for the Hawks this period.

Back home for the third

A few observations from Jamie Baker:

“Douglas Murray is a Middle Linebacker on Skates”

Also, Chicago’s second goal, a result of another mental breakdown by Ryane Clowe, his head still isn’t in the game.

The Sharks took their foot off the gas in the second and let Chicago back in.

Further observations from Bakes

Murray played 6+ minutes of PK time in STL.

Demers and Joslin didn’t log any, and Huskins logged about 3. Boyle had 5, Vlasic had 4 or 5.

Team has too stay disciplined with the D balance as it is right now.

They look tired tonight

ToddyMac would be smart to give his legs with more juice some ice time, aka Couture’s line.

We're close

4 mins left and despite lots of breaks against us we’re tied, this is a very winnable game, we can do this!

tough game

played solid mostly, just got caught with backs to the play a few too many times. 3 games in 4 nights is not easy, good to see the 1 point salvaged.

"I just looked across the huddle to see the guys in the huddle with me: great offensive line, great talent at wide receiver, great tight ends, great running backs. If we execute and play the way that we should, it should be tough to stop us."

Goal should have been allowed.

While there was no definitive evidence, there would have been had they used the camera that is in the net. OH WAIT, there wasn’t one in the Chicago nets tonight.
