I lived in Vegas for a year and Loved 10 AM football. I worked nights so I’d just stay up after work. During the week I’d wake up, eat, maybe do something quick, then hockey started! Watch hockey all night and after the late games were over I’d go to work. It was awesome.

As per WTC:
Because Heatley’s status is iffy, Ryan Vesce ended up flying all the way back to Boston, then being told to get on the next flight to SFO after being reassigned to Worcester. He showed up at HP Pavilion this morning just as everybody else was scattering.
Derek Joslin was also reassigned to Worcester, then recalled. He said he got a last-minute text message and didn’t board the plane headed to Boston, so he didn’t have to deal with the cross-country flight.

Gotta camp out in front of the net and get the garbage. I don’t care how hot you are, if you can’t see it there’s going to be rebounds. Rebounds = scoring chances. Especially if you’re crashing the net.

Gar, yucky game.
Kipprusoff was hot and their were so hesitant on the powerplay. After getting drilled for so many SH goals so quickly, the pointmen are scared to handle the puck at all. Clowe was the best forward tonight. Pavs seems a bit lost. Thornton was great, but no one could get open to save their life. The posts didn’t like us either.

I think they were the first team we lost to in terms of not getting two points. I’m positive that the regulation loss was to a team whose city/region started with a “C” (remember that whole curse?), and it was also a game that I was at. I’m pretty sure it’s Calgary.

It was definitely Calgary that broke the home point streak
I remember because their ‘AA’ affiliate LV Wranglers were in town and going to the game. I joked with my LV friend that they would probably jinx my Sharks. Calgary went on to win and the Wranglers enjoyed a nice lil’ get-together with their parent club postgame. ; /

Tough game on both ends.
Sharks played well up until when Calgary tied it, and they seemed kind of flat. I thought Mitchell played extremely well, as he and Nichol were providing lots of energy for the time.
