Dropping the Gloves: Claude Lemieux and Alexei Semenov fight the Oilers

Hellooo everybody. Tonight Claude Lemieux and Alexei Semenov dropped the gloves for the Sharks in a game where a brawl could have broke out at any minute. It was a heat-filled game and Shark fans have a new found hatred for Ethan Moreau. Sharks got the best of the Oilers and won the game 4-2. As for the fights here they are:

Claude Lemieux vs. Theo Peckham at 7:10 in the second period

Before you watch, you should note that the last time Claude Lemieux fought in the NHL was in the 2002-2003 Preseason

Before the fight started there was an offsides penalty called. Everybody is just skating along no problem. Except Jason Strudwick who is shoving Devin Setoguchi. Lemieux gets Strudwick away from Seto and everybody rushes in. Peckham than takes a hold of Lemieux. Refs try to break it up and Peckham, holding onto Lemieux, fall onto the ice.

(Than commercial break cuts in leaving a blank spot)

Camera than shows Lemieux and Peckham fighting. Like Randy and Drew said, Peckham had no respect for his elders. He threw five rights at Lemieux and than took him down. Refs than broke it up. Peckham may have won the fight, but you have to remember Lemieux is 22 years older.

Alexei Semenov vs. Zack Stortini at 16:47 in the second period

Before the fight Semenov and Stortini are waiting for the puck to drop. They talk for a bit. Refs drop the puck, they get up close and talk. Eventually they drop the gloves and a hugfest breaks out. Both attempt to get punches to the back of each others helmets and both are off balance. Later they stop hugging, Stortini tries to punch the back of Semenov's head than takes down Semenov. This one's easily a draw.
