Are you saying that they’re playing with enough passion at the end of games? Cause I’m just not seeing it.

I know they’re pissed about how things have gone lately, I’m not questioning that. But have they shown heart when there is five minutes left on the clock? Passion?

The way they're playing, there won't be a second round.

Since the All-Star break they are ninth in the west. A lot of excuses about how banged up they are, but the first two lines have been healthy and they’ve provided the bulk of their scoring. I, for one, am plenty worried about how things are going.

You know what

as the author of “Who’s Superstitious”, I can tell you that I’ve done all that too…and I’m of the opinion that if these guys, who are making millions of dollars to play a game, cannot manage enough effort to win a game, then it doesn’t matter where or what you eat, or when you eat it. Or what you wear, to bed, in the shower, on the couch, or out to dinner. We can drink what we want, and buy it from whomever is at the counter. I’ve given up on the superstitious stuff. For tonight

Anyone seen my hat?

I'm trying a new hat starting Saturday.

The one I’ve been wearing all season seems to have lost its touch.

But yeah, the boys need to step it up and start playing with some anger/passion/desire whatever you want to call it.

I am mad.

I mean, I had a sinking feeling in my stomach all day that they were going to lose. I didn’t feel that the Minnesota game really exorcised all their demons (seriously, the only reason they won was because of a lucky bounce and the one time that Ehrhoff forgets that he’s not a forward and doesn’t fuck up), and I was right. The guys on the first two lines are either tired, or forgot how to score goals. Seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a larger ratio of pucks not shot on net to pucks shot on net. And then the few that they did shoot on goal it was right on Mason’s chest. Seriously? I could block that.

Its just a frustrating situation. I’m not going to analyze it in-depth anymore, because I just have no idea what they’re doing wrong, besides playing tired and injured, but they can’t fix that. Maybe call up some of the top scorers in Worcester, I don’t know. Or those lines in the Minnesota game were working pretty well – how about McLellan uses those for another game or so to give three lines of solid offense and defense?

Alright gang....

This shitty play had better stop by Saturday at 7pm – losing to the Blues AND Kings is inexcusable.

Go Sharks – GO.

Good night all

And my last post of the evening. It has occurred to me, we’re talking about playing Detroit, playing Calgary, winning the Presidents cup. You know what, it doesn’t matter if we play the Islanders, or the Hershey Fricking Bears; if we don’t score more than 1.2 goals per game, we’re not gonna win. So we can scream about Boosh, or the D, or mojo, or whatever; but we’re paying a LOT of money to our #1 and #2 lines to score goals, it’s put up or shut up time. We need 35, 40, 45 shots per game, consistently, especially heading into the playoffs, to account for the playoff-sick-Turco’s of the world. Especially if we end up playing that voodoo guy in Columbus. Let’s kick some Kings ass on Saturday!

I still love my dog! He’s adorable!

He’s just unlucky. One time I picked him up to hold him. As soon as I did that an opponent of the Sharks scored.

Where did the Sharks offense go

Maybe it’s just a domino effect. Back up goalie, plus depleted defense, injured forwards = more conservative, discombobulated, lackadaisical style of play.

I really don’t want this team to be the 2007-08 Ottawa Senators
