OK, that was the diplomatic thing to say. But Joe Thornton, what do you think was really going through Moen’s mind?
“When you’ve been just traded and it’s still so fresh, there’s nothing better than this,” Thornton said. “To get the game-winner like that? Especially with his wife and new baby in the stands? It’s just storybook.”
