Kent Huskins traveling with team to Alberta
Wait, who's that? J/k... As you may have heard, Patrick Marleau will be staying home, but Ryane Clowe and Rob Blake will make the journey as well. Jonathan Cheechoo should be back on the ice by at least the Edmonton game (that's my interpretation - it's also hinted at in the article).

Time for all our ‘injured’ players to get some games. Mac is not going to rush anyone back, so who knows who we’ll see in Alberta. Huskins will be a nice defensive upgrade for Semenov or Eherhoff.
do you really think
they are all fake injuries?

No
I’m sure they’re all injured to some extent, but I think at least a handful of them would play in a playoff game.
I think that it’s important for everyone on the team to get as much time playing together before the playoffs. I am confident that the Sharks aren’t faking injuries to give people time off. That being said, I do think that players are being held out longer than they would if the Sharks were fighting for a playoff spot. I am glad that their success has afforded them the opportunity to give players a chance to get truly healthy and not be rushed back.

What I’m wondering is, if Cheechoo isn’t playing until Edmonton, who’s going to play against Calgary? At this moment, we need one more forward and cannot convert Semenov again since he’s needed on defense. Is Kaspar going to be called up again? Armstrong? Some other random player?
Maybe Boucher will have to convert to playing forward (a la Carey Price). We don’t really have anyone else.
Yeah, that’s interesting we’ve heard nary a peep about it from the organization. If I had to guess (assuming they haven’t/won’t call anyone up), Claude Lemieux gets the start tomorrow. He’s been skating with the team for the last two weeks. Maybe Clowe as well, although I think they would take as much time as possible before slotting him back into the lineup.
Nothing like a little speculation at least.
Fear The Fin: Where The Second Round Is Overrated
I doubt Clowe will come back tomorrow, since he was one of the two that didn’t skate this morning (Blake was the other). Lemieux is definitely a possibility, especially with an annoying team like the Flames. I’m wondering about Plihal right now, since we’ve heard next to nothing on the guy and he’s been out for quite a while.
Eh, no matter what there’s going to be a surprise player tomorrow. Could be a good surprise (someone is healthy!) or a bad surprise (Kaspar again?).
Holy eff
Josh Gorges in net. That is fantastic.
At this point I think the Sharks may pull in some of the fans who participated in the hockey player for a day thing, or some of the guys from the local rec leagues and toss them in. We need bodies. Lots and lots of bodies.

He would certainly have a different perspective if he did color commentary while playing on the wing.
