Jeremy Roenick had some strong words for Mike Babcock regarding the playing time of Chris Chelios

This has created quite a buzz around the hockey community. It's been a while since JR has stirred the pot (because DW said not to)

Thoughts?

Oh JR.

I hope JR has reason to believe this and isn’t making it up.

I don't know if I'd trust Chelios as a reliable source.

I mean, doesn’t the mind start to go when you get to be that old?

Frankly, I just don’t agree with JR going out and saying something like this, even if it is true. Horrible timing. Save it for the offseason, if ever. If Cheli is such a great team guy like JR says, then JR should know he wouldn’t want to deal with this during the WCF’s.

Chelios denying he even said anything of these sorts doesn’t make it look any better. Whatever. Some press is good press eh?

Doesn't matter when he says it

Chelios will never say it’s true, even if it is. We all know quite well how hockey players keep quiet in the face of coachly strife. coughronwilsonpattymarleacough

I agree that such comments should wait until after the SCF, if one truly feels than need saying. JR has always said what he wants, when he wants, and with little apparent concern for the consequences. Aside from the tricky subject matter, this seems no different from the numerous other times he’s put his foot in his mouth.

Is there a Doctor in the house?

Someone prescribe JR something for Verbal Diarrhea.

I think his lips move quicker than his brain does.

Love you JR!
