Anyone in high school/middle school do that thing where you pull your hand away from a handshake anymore? I remember that’s how I got my kicks back in seventh grade:

“My frienddddd” (extends hand while the victim does as well)
“Lives down the street” (removes hand and brushes it by his ear)

Whatever. I shouldn’t even post this comment, it is neither funny or informative.

Nope

Partially because nobody shakes hands anymore. We just hug it out. Or nod our heads. Or just say “hi” weakly.

But I still remember doing that old handshake thing back in elementary school: “Hi. My name is Ann. I live in a can. And when I go to the bathroom, I use my hand.” Still gives me the giggles to this day.

I’m not sure what the ultimate benefit for NHLers would be. Quicker injury recovery? Maybe bulk, but I feel like it be used more to keep people in games that in increase the size of their waistlines. This even though I realize size does matter in the NHL.

I don’t see strength as a big issue for these guys. I feel like the other three, especially healing and recovery, would be far more useful in an extremely psychical sport like hockey. Several A’s were rumoured to have used the juice to help heal their eternally broken bodies.

by mattman on May 27, 2009 3:57 PM PDT up reply actions

it really depnds on how they view strength

if you just want bulk, it’s not as useful as putting on weight you can use. Body builders have HUGE muscles, which makes them appear strong, but they aren’t all that useful for everyday tasks. Unless you need someone to rip a tree out of the ground for you, all the muscle is largely for show. That was what I was getting after.

Also, what percentage of NHL’ers represent their country at the worlds/Winter Olympics?
I mean to compare that with NFL/MLB.

The stricter testing would probably scare players off of trying to cycle.

It looks almost like they brought in a blank sign, or had something on the other side, and brought in orange and black markers and did it while already in the arena. That’s the only way I could imagine the sign being allowed in.

But that is a Federal mandate, and you know about the states sovereignty and individual laws. In some states they might have lowered the age of consent, but in all actuality, if they are >18 then that is Stat Rape.

In the state of California, there is a variance of +/- 3 years for determining whether or not there is a Statutory Rape under the age of 18. Anybody over the age of 18 with a minor is automatic, it is when they are still teenagers is where all the math comes in.

I thought to myself the Pens have a decent shot at beating the Wings as long as their defense plays the way they have. It’s a pretty good core they have back there.

Plus the Hossa angle is pretty cool even though it’s going to be beat to death in the media over the next couple days.
