Around SBN: The Pros and Cons of an 18-game NFL Schedule

Puck Daddy is not offering a rumor, but "a thought." However, would playing in New York "crush his soul?" Maybe the other Patrick (Rissmiller) has something to say about that...

Worst Idea Ever

Hmmm, let’s see, in exchange for our captain, one of the league’s leading playoff scorers, we get an older, worse, and more expensive player who is just okay in the playoffs.

I’m sorry, this proposal is so bad its insulting.

insultingly bad…this trade is only good for NY…

I don’t think Greg looked at San Jose’s cap situation, which is likely just as tight as New York’s. He even makes the argument that with the trade NY can dump salary, which is great for them but completely screws us over.

Oh, and Drury is only making $50K less than Joe Thornton per year. That’s BS right there.

Riss

Probably doesnt have too much to say about playing and having his soul crushed. He only got to play for the Rags once! Not playing and getting your soul crushed is even worse!

He might have something to say about playing in Hartford though! And I aint talking about the Whalers!

Only if Rissmiller is included.

What the?

Seriously? He/they didn’t even reason why it would be a good trade for the Sharks. It’s not even a good trade in the first place!!!

I had fun watching the Sharks, point of being a fan right?

No Trade Clause

Dan Boyle, Mike Grier (UFA), Joe Thornton (2012), Patrick Marleau (2011), and Evgeni Nabokov (2011) all have no trade clauses in their contracts, they cannot be traded without their signed consent to waive that right.

Let the end of the world begin with us!!
