I hope you're right about Cheech
I always liked him, even after his drop-off the last couple seasons. Here’s to hoping his hard work and dedication pay off, and the coaching staff realizes he can produce more with the right linemates.
If we cannot trade him, where can we put him line wise? We do not want to be paying 3 million for a third liner, but he worked well with Mitchell last postseason, and he adds scoring to a line that already would have speed. Maybe Cheechoo-Mitchell-McGinn?

I think we'd all be surprised
if we gave him some top-two-line minutes. The guy is a sniper with a great shot who needs a good passer to set him up. Put him next to either of the two Joes or Patty and I think you’ll see his production up. That being said, he’d have to wait until someone got bumped off of the wing on those lines, then go in and show them how to score goals real quick. Probably won’t happen, but a guy can hope.

What about
Clowe-Goc-Cheechoo. Just untill the guy breaks his slump. Then think about putting him on a line with Joe or Marleau.

That would be kind of hard seeing how Goc doesn’t play for the Sharks anymore.

These were the lines posted by DP on July 25th:
Michalek-Thornton-Cheechoo
Marleau-Pavelski-Clowe
McGinn-Mitchell-Setoguchi
Shelley/Frazer McLaren-Nichol-Staubitz
I wouldn’t mind those lines but I’m pretty sure that puts us over the cap.

mcginn definitely a safe bet
cheechoo? i hope you know something i don’t after not reading this blog for awhile, no but seriously that would be sick, i question his speed in todays game but who knows, I think the magic that thornton and cheechoo had is something we’d all like to be rekindled
I don't like you Detroit.
Cheechoo’s linemates were Grier and Goc. He was recovering from double hernia surgery. I honestly don’t see how he can’t post better numbers this season than last, no matter what team he plays for.

even when h played on the big line
he didn’t really show much, and his speed really really hurt him out, of course he could do better than last season, I’m just saying that he’s not as good as people think.

It's true that 56 was an abberation,
but he’s also not as bad as everyone thinks
