Five of Top Six forwards will be there, but Heatley isn’t making the trip to Vancouver
Healey has to get some testing done, so he won't make the trip. It's not about the Canadian media.
Ferriero will skate on line one with Heatley out, and he's getting a serious look from the coaching staff.
McLellan is already calling out his top players for lack of scoring.... I like that he's got a little more fire than he did last year.
Here are tonights lines:
Ferriero-Thornton-Setoguchi
Marleau-Pavelski-Clowe
McLaren-Malhotra-Ortmeyer
Shelley-Nichol-Staubitz
Murray-Demers
Joslin-Blake
Huskins-Callahan
Nabokov-Griess

"It's not about the Canadian media."
I’m sure they’ll spin this story to be about it, anyway.
Now, you can follow my uninteresting life on Twitter.
It’s nice to see Malhotra expected to play finally. I’m actually really excited about having him on the third line this season.
And yes, a more fiery McLellan is a good thing. He needs to light a fire under these boys and make sure they know that failure is not an option.
Sometimes the impossible can become possible if you're AWESOME!
Agreed
I think he took it easy last year since Ron Wilson had such a reputation for being hard (too hard in some cases) on the guys. I think now he’s tryng to find a happy medium.
I wonder if the d-pairings tonight might lead to Boyle/Murray, Blake/Joslin, Huskins/Vlasic for the start of the season.
Oh, so that's where you edit your signature
i think TM is gonna keep Vlasic and Blake together no matter what. they were an effective shutdown D pairing last year so why screw that up this year… I think Murray and Boyle will be paired and Huskins will round out the 3rd pairing with whatever AHLer makes the team (most likely Joslin)
"Chocolate?! This is doo-doo baby!"
Solid two-way skater, his size can be deceptive
The guy was a champ here at Boston College, and though he’s generously listed at 5-11, he doesn’t hesitate to drive to the net. A lot of times he was overshadowed by the flashier players (namely Nate Gerbe, who saw some ice time against the Sharks while playing for Buffalo last year), but he’s very reliable and finds a way to score clutch goals. I haven’t had a chance to see him in the preseason games, but I expect that he’ll be a menace around the net.

Wow
That shouldn’t come as a surprise. What might is the price-tag: $700,000, according to a source familiar with the contract.
I’m in the wrong business…

This should warm him up to SJ fans
it’s like the Sharks got a hometown discount on a FA (thanks again Steve Nash). Just makes me feel that he’s really here because he wants to win, passing up the bigger paycheck from his other suitors.*
Excited for his Sharks debut tonight.
*re: Morti – idk if this precludes him from being called “Money” anymore, but I still like it.
Oh my Goc!!!
Seriously!
come to Money Malhotra’s! Slashing prices since ’09
