Who Stays In The Worcester Mash Up???
To me there are 7 players that have made a mark from coming up from Worcester. Jason Demers, Logan Couture, Frazer McLaren, Ryan Vesce, Benn Ferriero, Derek Joslin, and Jamie McGinn. In the next few weeks I think we are going to see who is going to stay in San Jose and who are going to be shipped out Worcester. And if there were only 3 players I had to pick it would be Demers, McGinn, and McLaren. I would choose those 3 because I think that the Sharks defense is better with Demers. And I would pick McGinn because I think that the Sharks need that extra speed and another person that can drive to the net from at the bottom six. And lastly I would pick McLaren because I think in the long run he could be the next Kyle McLaren(when he was good) but well rounded out. But I hope these 7 players stay within the organization because I think they will all be solid players at their positions.
Stats as of 1/14/09:
Player G A P
Demers 2 13 15
Couture 1 1 2
McLaren 1 5 6
Vesce 3 2 5
Ferriero 2 3 5
Joslin 0 3 3
McGinn 7 1 8

When you said Mash Up
I thought you were referring to Monster Mash, Brandon Mashiner who also plays for Worcester.

McCarthy has played his way into consideration too
Where a player like Vesce or Ferriero is going to do much better playing on a scoring line instead of a checkign line, John McCarthy has done a very nice job of being a true checking forward. He can grind/cycle, he’s a solid checker, solid food speed and he looks comfortable with the puck, not fighting it, and making good plays.
