So I bought a blank black armor jersey at the end of last season during a sale with the intent on getting it lettered this year. Everything seemed to be going perfectly when Clowe got named as an alternate captain this season, since a Clowe jersey with the "A" was exactly what I had wanted when I bought it. All excited, I brought it to the Ducks game with the intent on having the Sharks Store at HP Pavillion customize it during the game (they'll do it even if you didn't buy it that day if you ask nice) only to have my hopes and dreams drowned in a bucket of boiling tears by the kid working the register: HP Pavillion will not put an "A" on a Clowe jersey unless it is an away jersey. The reason for this is the stupid, obvious one- he's a road captain. But seriously? I have to buy another jersey just to get a lettering combination that already exists on the team, albeit in a different color?
Needless to say, I declined to give them my money and was determined to have it done by a third party who would acquiesce to the requests of the customer who's paying them. Problem is I have no idea where to get it done, so I was hoping some other FtF'ers might be able to point me in the right direction. I get the impression hockey x-sport does it, but living in the Danville/San Ramon area something closer than San Jose would be great. I'd rather get it sewn on than heat pressed as I understand it's the more permanent method, and if possible I'd like to get it done in the next 2 weeks (I'll be there with my scorned blank jersey tonight for the Sharks revenge on the Stars, but I'd love to have it done for FtF night!).
Oh, and in a sweet twist of irony Jumbo ended up getting suspended two games later and Clowe ends up wearing an "A" at home the next two games after that. My anger.
Anyway I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions that might be out there. Thanks in advance and Go Sharks!
