David Pollak comments on his blog saying Vlasic will be out for a little bit, but not for long and will not need surgery. Great news.

you know it’s funny … when I had my first child, male … my thought was “I can change how males are with this one child” …. stupid me. little did I know that males are just born (trying to find a word that doesn’t have everyone on here attacking me) with a peter pan complex … :)
I actually didn’t learn my lesson and thought I might have a chance with my second son. I failed miserably again.

Not that a trade can’t happen now, but the Sharks might have to give up something more than future picks. And that hasn’t been part of this season’s plan.

Fire sale is on. Panthers already traded Jordan Leopold today. Also featured FTF trade target Dennis Seidenberg was name-dropped as on the market.
NHL’s back, Vlasic’s still out, Sharks could still use some fortification on the back end, and trade freeze lifted. Should make for an interesting week.

Couple questions
Will we see the final installment of the Sharks Olympic statistics? I must say, I’ve seen a few numbers elsewhere, and though I HATE to admit it, Thornton truly did turn into Mr. Cellophane. Only Pronger, Seabrook and Bergeron with less pts.
Also, will there be a FTF Trade Deadline topic?

Yeah, I’ll update the stats later today in a piece with a brief review; TCY is going to do gameday and will discuss the Olympics as well.

ohhh shit i though the trade deadline is this Wednesday. March 3 came pretty quick with all the olympic stuff going on, damn.
Apparently the Blue Jackets couldn’t sign Raffi Torres to an extension and he’s almost certainly going to be traded. I hope DW reads FTF cuz my fingers are crossed for the Hejda/Torres deal.
lol jeez, i can’t write at all today. I got no sleep last night.
I was gonna say “ohhh shit i thought the trade deadline wasn’t for another week or two” but then decided to write “ohhh shit the trade deadline is this wednesday”, but instead it came out “i though the trade deadline is this wednesday”.
