Just as I learned minutes ago that there was nothing imminent on the San Jose trade front, Carolina GM Jim Rutherford told the Raleigh News & Observer that there would be no Wallin trade.
[Editor's Note]: Looks like all that coverage was for naught. Feel free to point and laugh.

Just read Carloina's blog,
They’ve known for a whole hour! A WHOLE HOUR

Actually only 30 minutes from this Tweet from the N&O beat reporter. We were wondering why no one else had confirmed….
GM and soothsayer of the Unofficial Hurricanes' fishtank.
Up this week: Introducing Sutter-fish.
Oopsie my math is wrong
but still! I’m going crazy over here.
And a interesting tweet of note:
Wallin did not waive the no-trade clause, indicating the terms were not fully to his liking.

But she was marginally pretty and there’s a hot girl that you wanted more anyways. She’s a little put-offish, but you know she’s thinking about it.

All the ME2 goodness and you’re sporting Star Wars symbols?
Bet you can’t wait for Lucas to re-release the original trilogy (again) but this time in 3d…

Touche. I’m off to play ME2 right now. Damn you Wallin I had my business face on all day!

Too easy to find Paladium…
I’ll probably over mine once the main story arc is over.

Star Wars is so much better, although I love ME.
In a very SW mood, though, since I drove 2 hrs in traffic to Berkeley to get the last two pair of Skywalker’s in the country.

The last Star Wars I saw was the Clone Wars movie… I’ve been very bitter about Star Wars since.

Dude, I don’t even care about any of the new ones. The fact is that the orig. trilogy was a huge part of my childhood and stuck with me. I usually don’t go a month without watching one of the trilogy.

I actually thought Episode Three was solid as hell.
Fear The Fin: Where Selling Your Soul Is The Likely Solution
I liked episode III, mostly because I thought Ewan McGreggor played a mean Obi Wan.
1 and 2 were garbage, but 3 had it’s moments. If they were all as good as 3, people wouldn’t be so pissy about it.

I thought the same about McGreggor. Casting was perfect in that instance.
And I agree that 2 blew chunks. But I thought 1 was decent. It couldn’t live up to standards, but it was decent.

Jar Jar ruined what was an otherwise good movie. The lightsaber battle from the first still stands as the best fight in any of the 6 movies.
"Douglas Murray is a humongous human being." – Drew Remenda
Same here
The dialogue is weak, but better than 1&2. Hayden Christianson finally got to, you know, be a bad guy. Best fight scenes, both lightsaber and space, of the entire series.
Overall, I would place it on par with #6, but 1 and 2 fall off a lot after that. 5 is awesome, and 4 is great.
Ep 3 had it’s moments, but overall I walked out of the theater disappointed. The fight between Obi Wan and Anakin was about the only time I felt I actually saw good acting and storytelling.

That’s still not as hot as Douglas Murray. -mymclife
should have just asked … I worked next door to Berkeley … :)

It’s all good. I just imagined Berkeley was a galaxy far, far away and it made it more fun.

After looking at it again i realize it was in no way a ME2 reference and that i’m just obsessed with the game lol.
Hahah I can see how it applies. Miranda is teh hot.

Actually pretty happy about this. Opens up the chances that we get a top 4 D man.

Wow….
Alright. Moving on. Souray today posted a list of teams he would accept the trade to. No San Jose.

I am crushed that we won’t get the comedy gold of Marleau and Wallin staring in a Sharks commercial together.
It's nothing but crumpled porno and Ayn Rand.
Deadpan theater.

Now if someone who could splice those two videos together, that would be gold.

Fools and Sages
Anyone else feel like we almost traded for a guy who didn’t actually want to play here? That would have been horrible.
He had a NTC, and apparently had waived it. A hang up on the extension terms most likely. Only thing that makes sense, and that didn’t even make sense to begin with.

Soooooo...
For two days I have been learning about Wallin, and how he is known as the “secret weapon” and says hamburgers funny. Now I don’t care.

Gotta say...
I’m proud of DW for not caving to this guy’s demands. Wallin’s heart was obviously set on something other than winning the Cup this year.
"It's not so much me as it's Roenick."
Dang.
I just spent the last few days learning to love Wallin in only the ways a man can love a Shark.

I’m okay with what we have now, so long as they get healthy soon and stay that way. Same with Malhotra.

I think we need an upgrade on the back-end, personally.
