He has not been performing up to expectations for a while now. He has a TON of turnovers.

There are nights he’s the only one to show up for us, and there are nights he’s a bit tired and disinterested. I find it hard to rag on the guy considering how much he carries us at times that I tend to forgive him an off game or two. I would appreciate it if he sat out a game or two, but, he is who he is.

He’s still putting up the points, which lessens the pressure. But I don’t think anyone here is saying that Thornton is playing all that great – he’s definitely not. He looks like he might be a little injured, but since he’s Joe Thornton, there is no way in hell that he’s going to sit out.

Our top line is a little maddening
They dominate games, and then they float.
It’s very hard to argue with a line that has 2 of the top goal scorers, and one of the most prolific point getters in the league.
We can’t judge them until the spring, but that’s nothing new. Heatley adds another element that this team has been lacking: a guy who can just go GET a goal, and someone who STAYS in front of the net.
I’m not thrilled with they way they’ve looked from a forbidden word here perspective, but I’m suspending judgement until after the Olympic Break, because I’m hoping they get an emotional lift from that, either positive or negative.

Was not able to watch all of the game, but from the parts I watched it looked okay. Wallin looked pretty good, made some nice break-out passes and was pretty solid back on D.

I thought he was quite good in his own zone, very good at forcing guys outside
But he was also horrible at passing. There were numerous times where his passes were either way too hard or soft. Even Boyle couldn’t handle his d-to-d passes well. It really didn’t help the breakout.
