Man, I’ve got ME2 saved for a rainy day. I’m still balls deep in Dragon Age: Origins. lol.

I actually use one of those helmets for the majority of the game. I don’t like the stuff that covers my characters face because I miss the digital acting and the stats aren’t terrible.
I beat the game a few nights ago and managed to hit 30 in my first playthrough… but ended up rewinding the game about 20 hours or so to fix a few choices I made along the way that I didn’t like in the end. I should refinish it this weekend.
Then it’s on to my Paragon playthrough on insanity with an infiltrator… which should be completely different than playing a vanguard.

Vanguard
How did you like it? I couldn’t get too far with it and ended up switching to Sentinel – much more my playstyle.

Had a blast
Once you get the heavy shotgun you can pretty much obliterate anything without shields at point blank range after a heavy charge.
The trick is getting out of dodge if there are a lot of enemies nearby. Heavy mechs can be trouble, you just have to always optimize your party based on the mission. Of course it was only on veteran, I hear it’s impossible to make it through insanity with a vanguard.

Well, started my insanity runthrough as an infiltrator
I’d recommend only doing this after you’ve at least beat it once, and even then only with a soldier or infiltrator…
It’s seriously unforgiving. Every enemy either has shields or armor or both and there are a lot more of them. Ammo is at a premium and the lighter guns (like the machine pistol) barely doing any damage. Getting in close for a shotgun blast seems like suicide. So far I’ve managed to pick up Mordin and Grunt and both of those I was nearly out of ammo and medkits by the end.

I started Insanity as a Sentinel
I think it’s the only way to make it through in reality. That Tech Armor is the only reason I’ve gotten as far as I have (Collector Ship mission). EVERYTHING has armor and Shields\Barriers and it’s almost impossible to do enough damage to kill anything major. It’s becoming a majot pain in the butt….

It’s not horrible as an infiltrator. The Praetorians can kiss my ass though. Just finished Horizon, not looking forward to the collector ship, I think I’ll bring the Cain along with me for that one. Being able to stealth and run the hell away keeps me alive, also, the massive damage boost to my sniper shots is handy. I wonder what the heavy sniper rifle will be like, or how much ammo it holds.
Always bring Grunt with you and fill out his class skill to crank up his regen ability. He’s as hard to kill as their Krogan. He may have shitty abilities, but the fact that he’s not burning through medigel like candy sure goes a long way. Also, having an assualt rifle constantly on your enemies is a big plus.

Remember Dominate
It’s the best skill hands down for Insanity. I usually take Mordin and Grunt to burn through armor as fast as possible and then take one of the enemy as a pet to create a diversion while I get my shield back up.
And yes, the Cain is the only solution for Praetorians that I’ve found. They’re a bitch.

I managed to kill it with a combination of heavy pistol (drop the shields) and grenade launcher/Sniper rifle for the armor…
Also, lots of running like a little bitch with the stealth on to get away from it and hope it doesn’t repop it’s barrier.
Dominate is cool, but I’d have to give up warp ammo to get it… I’m not sure I’m prepared to do that. I don’t know if I’d be comfortable with Jack coming along on many missions because she can’t take a hit well and I won’t be getting the character with Dominate this time around.
