Stanley Cup Dreamin.

Hello Fear The Fin Readers. I got a wild hair up my ass to talk about our one united dream. The Stanley Cup. A certain question is raised when this subject comes into play.

Are we capable of getting out of this "post-season slump"? Hell yeah. You can only be ousted from the playoffs so many times before your hulk-like rage starts to build up. Not to mention, we are getting tremendous offensive play from our lines. Not always pretty, but effective. Defense. Different story.

Turnovers. They are a bother and they hurt the team. Nobody is perfect. No player is perfect. But when your defensemen aren't up to the task, it is troublesome. With the recent acquisition of Niclas Wallin, it does add what Doug Wilson calls "depth" to our blue line. With Marc-Edouard Vlasic out, it does vitiate our defensive corps and renders us moderately ineffective. Wallin needs a chance to get acclimated to our system,  and given proper ice time to mesh correctly. He is a strong player, and also a Stanley Cup Champion. So it shouldn't be hard.

With the Olympic break around the corner, he should have no problem getting up to par.

Unfortunately, Nabokov can't win every game for us. He needs help. We sure as hell have the firepower. We just need the tanks to provide reassurance of a finals appearance. I truly believe no team is more deserving than the San Jose Sharks. We are going to be one hell of a contender when we get back from the break.

I sincerely believe that Canada is going to get the gold. If that is the case, our Canadian players are going to know what winning is all about. I mean who wouldn't want an Olympic gold medal and the Stanley Cup in the same year?

Further questions are raised. What about injuries? What about exhaustion? It's a scary thought, but a reasonable one. We will have plenty of time, in my opinion, to get back to full strength if that's the case.

Stanley Cup Champions this year?

I'd like to think so guy.

I hate to make predictions.

So I will avoid making one, but I agree turnovers have been a problem. Well done on the piece.

No predictions from me, cuz I'm afraid I'll vex them but...

I truly believe that they have what it takes, they just have to believe in themselves.

Here’s a video I did for last year’s playoffs. Maybe this year the Stanley Cup will be in them.

As in recent years

the team has what it takes to win it all, just need to get over that hump that’s keeping us back.

No more raining on BN's rainy parade, they took their ball and went home, lmao.
