Just sayin'

Does San Jose actually give up the division lead when all is said and done? Hard to say definitively, but I don't think they will. Phoenix has been on a six game tear and San Jose struggled pretty extensively since the Olympics. Common knowledge probably states the Coyotes cool off a bit and the Sharks regain their form.

And for what it's worth, San Jose holds the head to head tiebreaker as of this posting, with wins being equal.

As bad as the game was tonight, this is a good thing for the Sharks. They need a kick right in the rear, and boy did they ever get one tonight. It is one of the last wake up calls the team will get before Chicken Little officially opens up shop smack dab in the center of HP Pavilion.

Big time post coming tomorrow morning, big time back to back against Calgary and Vancouver on Thursday and Friday.

Go Sharks.

Got out of class

and I don’t want to crunch the standings. If the Sharks fail (as apparently they did today) and keep disappointing on the ice, what do you think the standings could end up looking like at the end of the year in the Pacific, and more difficult, the Western Conference.

If someone is bored and has the time…how about the entire NHL?

Anyways, time to relax, have a drink and smoke a illegal substance.

For some reason I have a feeling Jumbo is going to be a goddamn beast this year. Sharks are going to be tied 1-1 in the series going on the road for game three in the first round, and five minutes into the second he is just going to take over. ~Plank

HAHAHA OH WOW

So glad I decided to cover a friends shift instead of watch this game. Every time that stupid goal horn goes off it reminds me of my soul being ripped out of my body in 08.

Logic sayswha ?

The ‘Yotes have heard ’They’ll slip any time now"… or ’Their bubble will burst any moment now"… And here they are, 5 points back?

Look, I live down here. They’re like the Spurs of hockey. Boring, but they win. As a Sharks fan first and foremost, and after watching this debacle, I’d be nervous.

I like my goals like I like my booze..... Top shelf.

Not saying that their bubble is going to burst entirely, but they are currently on a six game win streak and the Sharks have a game in hand. As well as being five points up. As well as having the tiebreaker as of right now. I just don’t think Phoenix will pull it off.

If I wasn’t worried about it on some level, I wouldn’t have posted the standings.

Ah, but if we get the 4 seed, we definately won’t have to face Detroit in the first round! Think about it! :-P

Teams Can't Wait

Western Conference teams are doing what they can to get in a position to play the Sharks in the first round. Can you blame them?

Will this team play with a sense of urgency that the past teams lacked?

This team looks worse defensively than any Sharks team in the last five years.

Can the offense carry us a few rounds in the playoffs?

I have zero confidence in this team to do anything, so maybe thats a good thing and they will surprise us all.
