Go Sharks!

Today God (Big Joe) and Jesus (Boyle) are playing the Devils. They should advertise the game like that.

is it just me,

or do the sharks look just lost in their own zone? like they have to make it up as they go, and everyone has a different idea of what could happen. i watched a lot of games from this season over the break, and the over pursuit by forwards and piss-poor puck recovery and clearing scheme has only become worse. nabby has covered for them a lot, but in a jacques lamaires trap system (its a trap!) they are getting victimized by awful giveaways and bad breakouts.

at least they have their skates on the right feet.

I honestly don't know what else we want the GM to do

He’s not on the ice. The problems are ON the ice. This is still probably the best team the Sharks have iced in their history. And, to be fair, they’re pretty darn good. I just don’t know why they aren’t playing better. And after seeing the Olympics, you know how good they have to be in pressure situations.

Well...

At least they finished the game as good as we know they can normally play. Now let’s get some consistency and not require it to be the last 10 mins of the game

Ugh,

why do the Sharks score like crazy, just to be a goal short?

Oh wells, I’d rather this than a 4-0.

Darn it

Well, I can’t really critique how they looked because I didn’t actually watch them play, but I think they need to score their goals earlier. Also, more goals. Also, allow fewer goals.

Also, that was an epic 2:46.

Plus, there were around 200+ comments generated from $1 in change on my desk. That is kind of awesome.

Still would have been nice to see the good bits of the third, but…wow

Just got home from the game. And, really, I guess at least there was an awesome 3 minute or so stretch there for the Sharks. Otherwise, pretty lame. Nabby looked pretty bad (except for that sweet break away stop on Kovy). I worry about him going forward…that he’ll let in one softie (like the first goal was), and it’ll get into his head rather than make him stonewall up. I guess time will tell. Luckily, he has a month to get over it before the games really count again…

Nice to see Seto and Pavs going. I think the move to put Seto on Thornton’s line, and then Marleau with Pavs, was a good one. I kinda like that setup to spread out the scoring depth.
