Speaking of Wallin, he says there’s absolutely nothing to the Swedish media report earlier in the week that he’s signed to play the next two seasons for Lulea of the Swedish Elite League.

What happened, Wallin said, is that his name came up in a meeting between team officials and potential sponsors and that maybe someone was trying to use his name to help on the business side.

When the Sharks acquired the 6-foot-3, 220-pound Wallin from Carolina at the trade deadline, there were reports there that he was considering a move back to Sweden next season. Friday it didn’t sound like that was the direction he was leaning.
