Seating Chart Advice

Seating chart help!!. I have the chance for some tickets for the coming season--is there much of a difference between 225 and 226 except the money? Thanks!!

Hahhaha its funny you mention this

my friend and I are going in for a 10 pack and we were determining seats…He was saying stuff like he likes to sit on the corners not behind the goals. I said I personally don’t care; if you have preferences then put it down. The only advice I have from Section223 is there is no bad seat at the Tank…looking at the chart I think 225 might be a better angle to watch the game at. IMO

High sticking, tripping, slashing, spearing, charging, hooking, fighting, unsportsmanlike conduct, interference, roughing… everything else is just figure skating.

Yep. Price is the only difference.

I have been a 10-pac holder for 5 years and last year had seats in 205. I sat over in 204 once when I spotted empty seats and seriously didn’t see much of a difference viewing wise, but definitley a difference on the pocketbook. I just hope I am lucky enough to have seats in that section again! Unfortunately, you can’t control where they assign you seats. During 08-09 we were in 208 which was okay, but not as good as 205.

my seats are 205

I love ‘em, extra cost totally nopt worth it for 204, although if you want center ice that’s a different question.

i agree

i have sat pretty much all over the tank, and there really is no bad seats i would go with the cheaper seats personally, use the extra cash for a new sweater ;)

Thanks!!

My friend is setting up 2 nights of group seating—where she buys 25+ tickets for a group. The guy in charge asked if she wanted 225 or 226 and she didn’t really know. I agree there doesn’t seem to be a bad seat in the house but I figured I would ask the experts.

When I’m buying 4 tix for one game (me, hubby and 2 boys) the extra cash adds up!!

She did it last year and then during playoff time she got game 5 tickets—which she gave to me!! We got to see Game 5 of the Av series and the Red Wings series!!!

I was thinking that if anyone who said they wanted tickets flakes I might ask around here if anyone wants them. They are for the Preds in Jan and the Ducks in April. Shouldn’t be too hard to get rid of Sharks tix here!!!

And what’s the advice (Murray’s grandfather, Lars [Lasse] Bjorn) gives him?

I got to be honest, they’re both going to be kinda’ crappy sections!!! But still worth the experience of being at the tank, of course :)
I don’t think there will be a whole lot of difference, so I’d go with the less expensive of the two (225), personally… :)

I will refute the claim that there are no bad seats at the Tank – surprisingly enough, I think seats against the glass are kind of bad unless you’re seated at one of the ends of the ice. I’ve sat against the glass numerous times in 102, and it’s just not worth it because the angle is such that all the action in the corner of the ice to your right is only visible on the jumbotron. I’d have to say the best place in the tank to sit is right at center ice, 10-15 rows back.

What was the deal with that “best seat in sports” from the ESPN article? Did I miss a joke or something?

It wasn’t a joke, but notice that it’s not against the glass; rather, it’s in row 17. Perfect distance from the ice in my opinion.

Right, buy what it someone’s seat in particular?

My ideal seat would be center ice behind the penalty boxes, about 12-15 rows back. This just seemed a little too specific.
