He won me over with his play.

Yes, his defense left a lot to be desired last season, and he was on the ice for some pretty brutal goals against in the playoffs, but a lot of that had to do with the fact that the guys he was on the ice with didn’t do much good in those situations either. He was just part of a larger problem.

Ironically, come spring time, Patty was just as culpable as Heatley. I don’t know how many of us could have predicted that.

The Dany Heatley era had a pretty spectacular beginning. Let’s hope it’s long and fruitful.

I can’t remember how I felt about getting Heater, but I was so freaking mad and depressed because I thought we traded Patty.

It was like the exact opposite emotion I had when Patty scored the GWG in Game 3 of the Detroit series.

What I didn’t remember until today was my extreme overuse of caps lock and overall just sounding like a 12 year old.

I said that if Marleau was going to LA I’d want Frolov and Stoll coming back the other way.

Our Primary scoring would have suffered to the tune of 44 goals for Marleau and 39 goals for Heatley.

Frolov scored 19 and Stoll had 16 goals. Oops! Hindsight is 20/20
