Please leave a comment or something so we can all show the Sharks office our seriosness to sign him!!

Let's do it for OWEN!!

Maybe

Is there any animosity between Nolan and DW from the past? Some say Nolan is tempermental, some say he’d be good for the team. I’d say give him an official invite to training camp, then go from there.

Nolan was traded while Dean Lombardi was GM. Not sure of what animosity would exist. If anything, I’m still hesitant to sign Nolan because of his previous reputation as a lockerroom cancer and what effect that’ll have on Marleau and the younger guys. Although I hear that he’s chilled out quite a bit since his exile in the North.

Patty Marleau lives an erotic life.

we need players that will get the team fired up. we lost rob blake, now we need some of that physical play and leadership back in the locker room

For the most part I would expect to Nolan to be a bit more mellow in his ripe old age.

The only person that could possibly have any kind of grudge or at least residual emotions on Nolan joining the team is Marleau, as he is the only current Shark that was part of the Nolan era.

Wasn’t DW working for the Sharks when Nolan got traded?

Nolan was traded before(3/05/2003) DW became the GM(5/13/2003) in 2003

I don’t want him to sign simply for sentimental reasons. I want him to sign because it makes sense. He fills in the role that we desperately need. Maybe Frazer McLaren can drop the gloves and lay out checks, but Nolan can do all that and score at least 15 goals. Not to mention the leadership he will bring to the bottom 6. Couture and McGinn would really benefit from his presence. Plus Nolan says that money is not an issue, he just wants to play. And he desperately wants to be in San Jose. Based on what I’ve heard, he’d even sign at like 600k. There’s still time before training camp and who knows, he might even get an invitation, but DW would be a fool to pass up getting Nolan if he’ll sign cheap.

Bring him back

Please sign him to the min. and let him show us all how much he will kick some ass this year!!! He know this is his best and maybe last shot at winning it all, so he is going to give it all everytime he is on the ice.
