Boyle and Couture headed to All-Star Weekend
The title pretty much says it all. Boyle was selected to be an All-Star and Couture was selected as one of the twelve rookies. The Canucks and Blackhawks carried the selections, with the Penguins just behind.

Raises the obvious question. Is the All star game a reward for THIS year, or LAST year. If this year, the Canucks make sense, but not the blackhawks. If last year, the Blackhawks make sense, but not the lack of sharks.
As always, the NHL has managed to completely muddy the water on something.
I'm sure the Hawks, and Thrashers (since it's ex-Hawks), are a Cup-reward.
I think it might be fair to examine the fact that several teams may have asked the league not to select certain players (rumor has it Zetterberg was among that group). It’s possible the Sharks did that with HTML.
I just talk a lot and somehow accidentally say things that sound smart. It’s all smoke and mirrors, I tell ya.
Congrats to the pair :)

I got Boyle'd at FTF Night @ The Tank.
FINNISH HIM!!!!
Good to see two of the Sharks hardest working players getting recognition
But some very questionable selections for other players.
Mike Green? douchebag drives a vespa.
Phil Kessel? I realize he is Toronto’s token all-star, but I’d have chosen Kaberle over Greenlife
Patrick Kane? I guess that supports the all star game being a reward for last year’s achievements.

LOL! No Thornton or Marleau or Heatley
hopefully this slaps them in the face to wake up and start playing.
good for boyle and couture...
but the last thing dan boyle needs is more playing time over a break.
The proof is in the pudding.
