Al Stalock recalled from Worcester
Per Dan DaSilva (Al Stalock's roomate), Al Stalock has been called up to the San Jose Sharks. Stalock is arguably the Sharks best prospect outside of Logan Couture, and is having a strong season in Worcester after setting a team record for wins last year. He's posted a 2.65 GAA and a .907 save percentage in 38 games this year, going 17-17-4. The stats are somewhat misleading, though, as he's been one of the only bright spots on a struggling Worcester squad. With just one game left before the All-Star break, you have to assume that Niittymaki's injury is more serious than originally thought, or else the team would have just stuck with J.P. Anderson who was called up before Saturday's game. With Stalock on his way up, expect Anderson to be sent back to the OHL. For reference, here is the interview we conducted with Stalock last season.
