Next Game

Andrew Raycroft, 0-3-0 on the year with a 3.39 GAA and .894 SV%, will be in net tonight for Dallas as they play their second game of a back to back. Antti Niemi in net for San Jose.

The Sharks had an optional morning skate this morning which means no official word on lines or pairings. I assume the lines will stay the same as they did against Detroit and the Sharks third pairing will have Justin Braun replacing Jason Demers, but that's just a guess based upon what happened against Detroit on Thursday.

Some other assorted links to keep you occupied until game time:

  • Kevin Kurz of CSN's Sharks Talk tees up tonight's game against the Stars, focusing on the Stars recent struggles and other assorted goodness.
  • David Pollak of Working The Corners previews how the Sharks will improve their "killer instinct" against Dallas and gets some quotes from McLellan about the Sharks 30th ranked penalty kill.
  • Defending Big D on tonight's game: "All signs point to a challenging night for the Stars. They'll have to reverse many trends to get a result tonight. If one thing looks in their favor, it's that they nearly always play San Jose extremely tough. They'll need to in order to represent backup Andrew Raycroft well."
  • Daryl Reaugh is always good for a laugh and excellent insight, and he doesn't disappoint with his two-part series on "goalie bowling."

Puck drops around 5:07 PM.
