The hockey world has started on a new game today based on the rumor that Bobby Ryan is being shopped around by the rapidly sinking Ducks. Maybe tonights performance against the habs could prove it to be merely motivation, but if taken on face value, the question becomes, what which Sharks would you give up for him, in the unlikely case that they were willing to trade him within the division?
Big, talented, and only 25 years old, my guess is that the price would have to include one forward from the first two lines and also another regular that would improve their position, plus some kind of a high pick. No matter what you think of the Yucks, he's a good player.
To start things off (probably controversially...) .... how about:
Marleau, Braun and a highish 2013 pick?
You'd be trading an aging forward for a younger one. Losing some potential on D.
