I just wanted to take a second to call attention to just how awesome the Sharks broadcasting crew really is. Being obsessed with fantasy hockey, I watch a lot of hockey games. It seems like every broadcasting crew falls short: no personality, obnoxious color commentary, inane player interview, etc.

When I first started watching hockey, Drew annoyed the shit out of me. He was way too...excited all the time. I also thought he was borderline creepy. Every time I watched he always made some comment about one of the children in the stands that just made me shudder. Brodie Brazil? Really? That's your name?

I kept watching though and now I wouldn't have it any other way. Every time I crack a beer and sit down to watch the game, I feel like I'm meeting up with two eccentric friends. It's a remarkable achievement and something I think very few sports broadcasting teams can do. They may be quirky, but they're as big a part of Sharks hockey as the players themselves.
