In the event you missed it last night, Devin Setoguchi scored the first hat trick of his NHL career. It was a brilliant performance from the young forward who has turned his game around as of late, and inspired one fan in the stands to throw his umbrella onto the ice in replace of a hat.
Maybe he wasn't wearing a hat that night. Maybe he was so excited to see Setoguchi score his third goal that he picked up whatever he could get his hands on at the time and that happened to be an umbrella. Or maybe he figured Setoguchi could use an umbrella once all of the hats started raining down so he decided to hook him up.
Whatever the case may be, the #umbrellatrick lives on today. Even if the rain has finally left San Jose.
