Thoughts and prayers for Manny

I went to the Vanc board and posted get wells for him.
I’ve had traumatic eye surgery when I was in HS, it isn’t fun, can take a long time to heal, and leave lifelong side effects. I wish it on no one, and am an advocate of eye protection. Even my street hockey helmet has a full face shield.

If you mention ending your life, or show signs of self-harm, I will take you seriously!

I've had eye surgery twice in my life...not fun at all.

Blow to the team, but recovery’s the priority of course. He’s become integral to the team dynamic on and off the ice this year. Definite leader and respected voice.

That really sucks for Manny, but i gotta say i kinda saw this coming.

When he was with the Sharks he was injured for a bit after taking a puck in the eye. I remember him saying something about how his mom wanted him to wear a visor, and then he made some dumb/stubborn comment about not needing one. A guy like him who’s always blocking pucks on the point of the PK is just asking for stuff like this to happen when he doesn’t wear a visor.
