Puck Daddy - Do snobby puckheads chase away new hockey fans?

As someone who didn't really become a diehard fan until a few years ago this is one of my biggest pet peeves. I honestly believe the elitism displayed by some hockey fans is one of the biggest challenges facing hockey in America. I'm probably biased based upon my personal experiences, but I'm curious to everyone's thoughts on the subject. Luckily I feel that Fear the Fin does a good job of discouraging the kind of attitude discussed in the article.
