Given the recent events, I wanted to look at some of the available PK forwards.
I began by looking at penalty killing UFAs. 5 players last year were in the top 10 of PK forwards (>2min @ 4v5 Time On Ice/Game) in goals against/ 60 TOI @ 4v5, plus-minus/60 TOI @4v5, and CORSI @ 4v5. Taking a closer look at all of them reveals the major players DW should pursue. The Table 1 represents stats @ 5v5, Table 2 represents stats @ 4v5, Table 3 was last year's salary.

I think without a doubt Brooks Laich and Pascal Dupuis are front runners. Pascal Dupuis mops up the 4v5 stats. He faced the toughest competition at 4v5, and still came out with the top CORSI, and CORSI rel. There is no way this is sustainable, but he scored points at virtually the same rate 4v5 as 5v5. Other the other hand Brooks Laich had strong stats as well. His 5v5 stats stood out as facing some of the toughest competition of the group, while posting the best plus-minus, and CORSI. A runner up would be Halpern, who posted strong stats throughout. Given his current salary, he seems like he might be able to be brought in at a reasonable rate.
