Jason Demers and Ryane Clowe will not play tonight for the Sharks. Ryane Clowe said earlier today that he expects to be playing on Thursday against Dallas while Demers current situation is relatively unknown.
Demers may be dealing with a lower body injury that sort-of kind-of kept him out of San Jose's game against Ottawa before the break-- as Todd McLellan mentioned following that game, Demers was a little dinged up but could have played if needed. Demers did come back to play the back to back against Edmonton and Calgary a few days later of course, but either that injury has resurfaced or a new ailment is afflicting him.
An update on Martin Havlat was also tweeted by David Pollak-- Havlat is expected to be out until early to mid-March, nearly doubling his estimated rehabilitation time of 6-8 weeks. Getting him back in time for the postseason is clearly the priority here and one has to hope that he can work his way back into optimal playing shape in time for April. A month in the lineup should allow him enough time to do so, but it's still not the scenario the team was hoping for when they announced his surgery in late December.

Used to play for the Nationals. He’s a good player with a big personality. I like him but I don’t think Giants fans do.

I helped teach him to skate at Eastridge ice arena circa 1989-1990-ish. Morgan was a fast skater, and was usually playing in the division below me ( age-wise).
I seriously am considering making videos with all the crazy stories I have growing up as a hockey player in the bay area and posting them as fanposts. I’d do podcast-type things, but I don’t want to step on plank and TCY’s toes. Just thought I’d add to the fun.

But this is the third reformat I’ve done to fix the problem. Whenever I reformat, it lasts about 4 months before it starts doing it again. The computer gets REALLY hot for no reason (next to no programs running), and it always crashes and/or stutters when I do anything fullscreen. Got a program called Speed Fan to monitor internal temperatures, and the GPU is almost consistently 90 degrees C (you could probably boil water on this thing).

I think we have the exact same problem.
From what I’ve read on the internet about my specific laptop (the piece of crap that is a Dell Studio), it’s either lack of ventilation, the video card, or the hard drive.

I can’t play DVDs or go on the CBS website to watch CSI because they’re too graphics intensive. I haven’t even tried to games outside of solitaire or minesweeper (although solitaire’s celebration graphic does sometimes freeze my computer).

If you get a Toshiba, buy a USB speaker or something. My only complaints about my $400ish Toshiba laptop are the crappy speakers and the small number of USB ports.

Have you cleaned the dust out of the fan exhaust area?
I used to have a Dell laptop that used to do what you’re describing because it’s design was inefficient in getting dust out of it. I had to clean out the CPU exhaust area every month with compressed air, which you can get at most electronic stores (Future Shop for you, I guess).
Also, don’t let laptop issue discourage you from building your own desktop. Laptops temperature issues are a result of being engineered to run powerful components in such a small space – a mid-tower PC will have much more room to allow the heat to dissipate and keeping the system cool and stable.

I've done that a few times.
The problem isn’t dust blocking circulation, it’s a lack of proper ventilation. It has one tiny fan in a corner on the bottom, nowhere close to the HDD (which is where all the heat is coming from, I just discovered). It’s a Compaq. I remember I hated my Dell, but it NEVER overheated like this thing.

Where is the hard drive in relation to the Processor?
I’ve seen lappy problems with the CPU heating up, causing the hard drive to heat up and lock-up. That could give you a BSOD.

Spent 6 years in meth-town, aka Lard. The only place that wasn’t full of tweakers was Kelley Brothers Brewing Co. When I moved to AZ, they put a picture of me drawn all over in marker after a pub crawl by their upstairs bar.
