So, just saw from Pierre LeBrun that the NHL's proposed salary cap would be $59,900,000 (though teams could go to $70,200,000 the first year). Just wondering what you guys thought would be some moves the Sharks could make to get under that. Obviously Handzus coming off the books will help a bit, but then I think we would still be $2.5 MILish over the salary cap, with Clowe left to resign (not including signing Shep, which will probably happen once the new CBA is in place).
Thoughts/ideas?
