Thearon W. Henderson
  • Former Sharks winger Devin Setoguchi is taking a break from the ECHL's Ontario Reign to head back to San Jose, where he'll be skating at Sharks Ice with an assortment of other locked-out NHLers. Setoguchi was technically "suspended" by Ontario in what he says was a logistical move. [Russo's Rants]
  • Speaking of the ECHL, here's David Pollak with some odds and ends regarding the San Francisco Bulls' one-game homestand at HP Pavilion, including reports from a season ticket holder meeting with the Sharks' revamped coaching staff. [Working the Corners]
  • Randy Hahn, Drew Remenda, Dan Rusanowsky and Jamie Baker talk about why they love hockey in a holiday edition of the Hotstove. [San Jose Sharks]
  • Remember how Jason Demers took Kyle Turris under his wing in Finland? Well, turns out Turris is kind of a dick, as Coyotes fans would likely attest to. [Puck Daddy]
  • DGB previews the World Juniors and includes some bad news for fans of Team Slovakia: "following long-established Slovakian law, the country's five best players each year are merged Voltron-style to create a new version of Zdeno Chara." [Down Goes Brown]
  • More World Juniors: Sharks prospect Sean Kuraly along with former first-rounders J.T. Miller, Connor Murphy and Tyler Biggs are all heading to Russia for the tournament and are at the forefront of a new generation of hockey players from the state of Ohio. Team USA plays its first pre-tournament game against Sweden tonight tomorrow night. [USA Hockey]
