I think Whitney would be PERFECT for this team. He’s a seasoned vet, gritty, passionate and scores timely goals. I think he’d be a great addition if we could land him.

Probably don't need to start thinking about this
I mean, Phoenix isn’t nearly out of it and how often does DW do something that’s talked about?
But it is a tantalizing thought. Whitney brings the kind of skill that could really benefit this team. With Havlat on his way back, you could have him on the 3rd line (I like the thought of Whitney with Cloweture)—which would mean three skilled playmakers dispersed over three lines. Yummy.

Huge Game
Hawks have lost 6 in a row. We have lost 2 straight. We need to get a win before going on the road. The Hawks need to stop their slide. Doesn’t get much bigger. We need our top guns to show up tonight. It wouldn’t hurt to have an unlikely hero, either. My prediction: Sharks win 4-3. Goals by Marleau, Couture, Burns, and Mitchell gets the game winner. Thornton with 2 helpers. Go Sharks!

Thoughts on the first period:
One of the worst interference calls of the year on Marleau. Crawford goes out and whacks him and that’s a penalty. Cool.
Not a fan of Thornton picking fights with Toews. I also thought we were lucky to get on the powerplay after that scrum.
Funny how Duncan Keith can complain about Burrows pulling his hair but he’s perfectly fine with punching someone in the back of the head.
Great game so far I hope the Sharks can keep it up.

I had the most awesome dinner from Harvey's.
I’m sure the US has an equivalent, but it’s basically one of those burger places that falls between fast food and nice restaurant. All their meat is flame-grilled, all the vegetables and condiments are fresh, made in-house. It’s amazing.
I had a grilled chicken sandwich (has a full chicken breast on it) with spicy mayo, lettuce, onion, and banana pepper… And a poutine. Harvey’s has the best chain restaurant poutine. Well. Aside from Swiss Chalet.
Anyway. It was amazing. Comes highly suggested. WAS WORTH THE $12.
