TMac should learn something from Phil Jackson

Can someone explain to me why TMac's first (and only) solution to bad play is to switch up the lines? Wouldn't it sometimes be better to allow the lines to figure things out themselves (ideally earlier in the season) so they can develop some chemistry? Isn't there something to be said about continuity? It's like when Phil Jackson allowed play to go on and not calling timeout or subbing despite Kobe and Co. stinking it up. He let them figure it out themselves so they could learn something in the process. These are grown men and professional athletes...I'd like to think they [should] know what to do.
