Tommy Wingels leads the way toward LGBT tolerance in the NHL

I'm not sure you guys are aware of the NHL's "You Can Play" project, which is a media campaign to show the NHL's support for LGBT equality and, especially, it's support for gay athletes. The project is led by Flyers scout Patrick Burke, son of the famous Brian Burke, and brother of the late Brendan Burke, who was gay, and who you may remember passed away in a car accident two years ago. Patrick did an AMA ("Ask Me Anything"), which is kind of like an off-the-record interview with users of Reddit.com this morning. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Tommy Wingels was one of the first players to enthusiastically support the "You Can Play" project. Way to go, Tommy! Click the link to see the portion of the Q&A where Wingels is mentioned.
