So, this bottle of wine was given to me by a non-SJS fan. Here's what I know... It's a 1993 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon produced by Joseph George. It's marked bottle #1591 out of 6,000. It was produced to commemorate the NHL All Star game to be held in San Jose in 1995 that never happened as a result of the lockout. The label on the bottle is exactly what the official logo of that year's game was to look like.
I doubt as to whether it has been stored properly all this time, so it's probably vinegar after nearly 20 years, but that's of little concern to me as I don't plan to pop the cork.
Has anyone seen one of these before? Recently? I plan to hold on to it, but I'd like to know some more history on this, if/how they were distributed, etc.
