After game 2, it might sound hard being optimistic on the Sharks' chances going forward. But judging by how The Sharks have virtually outplayed LA so far this series, I'm not feeling too discouraged especially with the group of guys we have this year. Granted some of the mistakes we've made have unfortunately led to LA goals, championship teams are gunna make you pay for them but I believe the amount of good things we've done so far are what will keep us in this series if we keep it up. In fact, some of the goals scored by LA have been off of missed calls (Richards hold on Irwin) but I'll leave the crap officiating in this series there. As a player, nothing hurts more when games are decided off those kinds of calls (personally, I think delay of game penalties called on incidentally dumping the puck out of the ice should be abolished and penalized as if it were icing). But again, as a player, you know those calls will come back around in your favor too. We're playing good hockey and doing pretty much everything a good hockey team does to win games. We're movin the puck, pushing shots outside, opening up the neutral zone, working quick with the shot count, etc. If there were anything we need to touch on a little more it would be clogging the neutral zone a little better on defense, clearing the slot and giving Neme's better looks, and getting guys in front of Quick. I think this 2-0 hole can be a good thing for San Jose and will give them the mental edge that will help them crank it up these next two games.
