It's probably safe to say the NHL preseason has officially crossed over from "hey cool actual hockey is back" to "this is boring and pointless and the regular season needs to start yesterday" territory. But the Sharks still have two games left on their exhibition schedule prior to next Thursday's regular season opener against Vancouver and both games still have meaning to prospects like Matthew Nieto and Freddie Hamilton who are angling to make the team, a more likely proposition in light of Raffi Torres' injury. Both players will face a Phoenix team slated to start ex-Shark Thomas Greiss in net but little else is known so far about the lineup the Sharks are dressing. Here's your pre-game reading:

The upside to tonight's game is that it's the first of the season to be broadcast by the great Dan Rusanowsky and Jamie Baker on local radio or via internet stream.
