Goaltender Harri Sateri made 26 saves in net for the Sharks, who despite having their four game winning streak snapped did extended their point streak to five games (nine out of 10 points).

The Sharks thought they had won game at the end of the third period when rookie forward Rylan Schwartz beat Admirals goaltender Josh Gibson on a breakaway.  However, the goal was scored a split second after the final horn had sounded.

In overtime, Sharks rookie defenseman Konrad Abeltshauser was assessed a tripping penalty at 1:27, and Admirals defenseman Jesse Blacker scored the game's only goal 54-seconds later when he found a loose puck in deep in the left slot and fired the puck past Sateri for his fifth goal of the season.
