Sharks vs. Aves recap

The road appears to be an unfriendly foe for the Sharks today. There first period style of play and pace has not changed their luck seems to be the change on the road as opposed to at the tank. The Sharks continued their dominance in the opening period. As it was in Anaheim the Sharks looked the more classy team and much of that has not diminished here in Denver. San Jose ends the period down by one. in the second period i hope to see the same intensity from the Sharks as I saw in the first.

San Jose starts the second period with a penalty on Joe Thorton with only 30 second off the clock. Sharks fans need not worry as San Jose's penalty kill is not like the ones of old. A much more improved PK has kept the team out of trouble, where in prior years it was the achilles heel of the team. However, the flaw in the sharks and its becoming a huge elephant in the sharks play, has come from the turn over rate and goals scored off the turnover. The sharks are having the same game they had against the Ducks on new years eve. This team really need to fix their effort in the second period as the avalanche have scored three goals in 1 minute and six seconds. this game has completely gotten out of hand. The sharks need a miracle to come back from this terrible play. Scrap at center ice will hopefully give the sharks the kick in the head they need. Unfortunately it does not appear to be the case and the sharks need a very quick response to stop the bleeding. The Sharks get that goal! JOE PAVELSKI beats the 4-3 powerplay clock and the sharks remain on the man advantage. PATRICK MARLEAU!!!! score and We have a game! This game is showing serious tilt right now and the San Jose sharks are back into this game with half a period to play. As we know the sharks are a very responsive team in the third period so it looks to be a fantastic finish to this game. The Sharks are more feisty after those two goals as talbot gets absolutely rocked by andrew dejardine, as the second period comes to a close the sharks need to keep their foot on the gas and keep the pressure on the avalanche.

The third and final period starts and the sharks kill of the final 14 seconds of the PK. The pace of the game has shifted and it seems the sharks are gonna have to fight for the two goals they need to tie it up. Logan Couture has just scored his fourth goal in in four games and is currently on a very important goal streak and it couldnt come at a better time. San Jose is running out of time and needs to up the pressure if they look to tie. The sharks went on the power play late in the third but could not get it done with the man advantage. the sharks drop the first of a back to back. hopefully the sharks can return to its winning ways as they head to Chicago to face a always hot blackhawks team.
